Cookie policy

Out of the box, this site stores nothing on your device except your answer to the cookie banner. Google Analytics only runs if you accept it. We count visits either way using a tool that sets no cookies at all, which is why the numbers stay honest whatever you choose.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies and writes nothing to your device. Visitors are counted using a hash generated from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours and cannot be used to follow you across sites or sessions.

Because it stores nothing on your device, it falls outside the consent rule in the ePrivacy Directive and runs for everyone. It collects the page you viewed, where you arrived from, your country, and your browser and device type. None of that identifies you.

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets the cookies listed above and tells us things the cookieless tool cannot, like how people move between pages across a visit.

Until you accept, the Google tag is not loaded at all. Nothing is sent to Google, and no Google cookies are set. If you reject, or simply ignore the banner, that stays true.

There are no advertising cookies on this site, which is why the banner does not ask about them. If we ever start running ads, the banner will come back and ask before any of those cookies exist, not after.

Open Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and answer again. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Clearing your browser storage has the same effect and the banner will ask again.

Your browser can also block or delete cookies on its own. Every major browser has this under privacy settings.
